Gregory's Eagle Project

August included Gregory's Eagle Project:
Repairing, spot painting, etc. of their old high school building, so that the school doesn't have to pay for all the repairs on the building when they move into their new facility in a couple of months.

Before:

During - Patching holes, sanding, primer where paint was needed:
Finishing up & After - we had some help, especially from Aunt Lenore, (although we had several kids who were sleepy before it was over...)

Now all he needs to do is finish up gluing a couple of spots where we pulled back the baseboards for patching. That and the paperwork to call it done... :)
He was told his project saved the school somewhere around $600-900.
School will begin there again on Tuesday, and they'll be there until the new building is finished the end of October.
It looks SO much better!

Phillip passed his Eagle Board of Review last Wednesday! What a milestone. Don't let Gregory wait 8 months before he does the next step. In Phillip's defense, there were changes in scout leadership both local and district that affected his timeline! At least his part is done -- now comes mine, the Court of Honor! Shane's was indoors, Russell's was outdoors with a bonfire at night. Don't know what Phillip wants. I think he wants to wait until Christmas break so hopefully Shane can be there. Congratulations!
