For one of our personal progress goals this summer, Kimberly and I decided we'd go to various temples and participate in baptisms for the dead. Our goal was eight trips, and we wanted to go to a variety of temples on the Wasatch Front, (since there are about several of those).
We made it.
We invited her YM brothers to go as well, and they did as they could.
We started with the Provo Temple, which is open on Monday mornings 'til ten.
Samuel joined us at to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple once where we met Elder Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Too bad we left the camera home that day!
Gregory went with us to the Draper Temple - my Draper grandparents must have been proud.
Did you know that youth with a temple recommend for those can drop in at various temples and do work? Not youth groups, but 2-3 youth can. Bring your own names, and you get special treatment.
Dad came with us to the Timpanogos Temple this time, so he could perform the baptisms & confirmations for some family names.
A goal accomplished, habits and commitments being formed, temple work done, and our spirits strengthened - what a wonderful combination!

Congratulations! Are you working on personal progress with her? Michelle set the goal to do it three times - once each as a Beehive, MiaMaid and Laurel. She's completed it twice, and now this time we're doing it together. I think she gets a kick out of "passing Mom off!" Of course, she's much better than I am at doing things, but I'm trying to improve :)
WOW, how lucky are you to have so many temples that close by?!? What a fun and uplifting goal.
Awesome! We did a drop-by a few years ago at the St. George temple...and they welcomed us with open arms! It has an interesting entrance to get to the baptismal font, and they even asked Brad to help with the confirmations... you are creating some great memories with your kids!
Congratulations Kimberly! Glad I could share a *tiny* part of it!
Way to go to Susan too!
